What Is PonyAggregate?

Last modified December 18, 2025 by compscitwilight

PonyAggregate is a community-driven Brony fandom archive web platform and project owned and operated by compscitwilight. PonyAggregate hosts fandom content from every era of the Brony fandom, and we are dedicated on being a free, open, multimedia archive where no content gets shunned.

The goal is to simply document the fandom's history and ensure that content created by bronies doesn't get lost with time due to external circumstances (which has already happened numerous times before).

PonyAggregate is distinct from platforms such as Derpibooru in that we are interested in archiving in all types of fandom content such as artwork, animations, music, games, and much more. Our mission is to preserve Brony history, creativity, and culture for generations to come.

Why was PonyAggregate created?

PonyAggregate was created to provide a centralized space for historical and new Brony fandom content. While other platforms provide the same spaces, the fandom is simply scattered across dozens of platforms where it is expensive to constantly track the fandom's latest content.

Throughout the fandom's history, we have lost many PMVs, animations, music, and games to time due to unreliable platforms or simply a lack of effort to preserve content. In recent times, major platforms have become increasingly more strict or dangerous to continue hoarding fandom content on.

How is PonyAggregate different from say, Derpibooru?

Again, compared to Derpibooru, we are not an image-booru nor an image board. We are a hub for the centralized archival of any fandom works of any media type.

Additionally, we are inspired by projects such as the Internet Archive and to an extent, DeviantArt, for providing a space for all types of media to be archived, and we are interested in providing a dedicated space for the Brony fandom.
